I live here

This is our humble little home.  It's not fancy, it's not huge and it's definitely not perfect.  But I really do love our little home.  It's warm and cozy, and it's big enough for us.  I've never, ever been afraid in this house either.  That's not something I can say about every place we've lived.  This little house protects us and provides shelter, so we try our best to take care of it, and even improve where needed.  It's a win-win.

As you can see, there's a common thread that runs through this post in pictures.  We live simply, we work hard and our beloved animals are a huge part of our daily lives.  Every single animal except one, who we've had while living here these past 20 years is buried here in our own little resting place under the old apple tree.  Nellie and Annie are in the yard because they'd prefer that.

I'd like to think that whoever comes to visit, feels a sense of serenity and of welcome when they're here.  Our home is not a showplace, and it will never be fancy.  That's not who we are, nor who we'd ever want to be.  Our friends are few, but they are cherished.  It's good to know that you're loved for who you are, and not what you have.

I'm so glad that it's Friday once again and we have the coming weekend to look forward to and enjoy.  I've been feeling really tired this past week and just want to be a homebody.  Maybe do a little feathering of my nest, have a fire in the wood stove and relax.  I'm sure looking forward to getting back to work on our bedroom - I'm getting tired of sleeping in the living room.  I'm really wanting to start working with Eagle again, our time together has been very sporadic other than evening chores.  I am so ready to start riding that horse!  But before that, we've got some tune-up work to do...lazy boy's had a long vacation since last fall.

I'll try to keep up the posting through the weekend, but if I don't make it - I'm not going to stress over it.  Monday might be soon enough.

Blessings, Lorie
