The life of Riley

Just who exactly is this Riley fellow anyway?  Hmmm?  If somebody knows, I'd really appreciate an introduction, and a little time for a heartfelt conversation with him/her...whomever, because I surely would enjoy an opportunity at that kind of life.

Boy howdy wouldn't I!?  :)

Good grief...Eagle must have taken some lessons from Riley.  This horse shore nuff knows how to relax and take life easy!!  Ya think?

Either that, or rigor mortis has set in and I just don't know it yet.  No!!

Eagle...what, who said that?  Did I miss something?  I was having the most amazing dream...yawn.

Come to think of it, Ladde looks pretty darned relaxed too, doesn't he?  He's even got his little woman to watch over him whilst he sleeps.  Sleeping beauties, sheesh!

It certainly does make me smile to see my horses so obviously relaxed and enjoying life.  But also just a tad jealous too.  I'm just sayin'!

If I believed in reincarnation and all that, I'd be asking God if I could come back as one of my horses, or even better - one of my dogs!  Now that's the life!!  :)

My wish for today is that all animals have that kind of life.  The life of Riley!

Apparently, some dumbass cowboys are once again, trying to make arrangements for a donkey roping somewhere down south, Texas or Oklahoma I think.  We stopped them last year, and I'm sure hoping we can put an end to their barbaric shenanigans once and for all.  If you're interested in coming to the assistance of so many kind, intelligent, innocent donkeys who deserve better than to be roped and jerked off their feet by some jerk on a horse, please visit "The Dancing Donkey" blog.  The author of that blog has kindly listed contact information and several links so we can put an end to this "sport".  Some things in life are just "no brainers".  This certainly is one of those things.  Please do whatever you can to help.  They cannot ask for themselves.

Blessings all,
Lorie @ Cingspots

Your horses sure are living the life! All animals should have a peaceful life! Thanks for adding the info "Dancing Donkey" posted with links. Hope everyone can do just a little something to help stop this madness. What's the matter with people?

Yes Marvel, I wish that too. It's just exhausting trying to keep up with everything "wrong" that's done to animals in the name of sport.

Personally, I don't think it's any more acceptable to rope calves than it is to rope donkeys. Part of the reason I don't like to go to rodeos....

If you ever do find Riley, could you send him my way when your done with him? I sure could use a nap like that.

Eagle is O.U.T. and taking full advantage of his fluffy cloud of hay!! Your horses are lucky to have you.

Animal abuse is so hard to understand, and everyone views things so differently...tough subject.

I can't tell you the number of times I've looked out and seen my horses laying like that and silently pray "Move, move just a little bit, please!"

What sport is there in roping a donkey? Really? They are so docile and friendly and learn too fast to make roping them sport. It boggles me.

Oh man, I think I'd have to go poke him to make sure he was still ok!

Today I want Riley too. A busy day. I do have a funny story on Sage. One of the things I do in training if flexing her head around about five times. Yesterday I pulled her head around and she just stood their with it bent to her side long after I let the rope go. So I tried again she did the same thing. So, I had her disengage her rear end and move it away crossing over her hind legs correctly. Well, Long story short, I did it again and she not only would not put her head back but she moved her rear end around perfectly. A smart girl. Next time I will back her and see if she remembers that. Hope you take Eagle to a clinic. You need to keep at it until you can ride him comfortable. Hope you life has slowed down some so you can breathe better. Or, go curl up with Eagle and catch some zzzzzzzz's in the sunshine. Blessings, Lea

The amount of animal cruelty in the world astounds me and makes me heartsick. May all animals enjoy the kind of life they deserve. It brings some solace to know that we are doing what we can to bring that about.

Blessings,
Carolynn

I wish we all had the life our horses and dogs have! I could use a nap too they look so peaceful and happy. Not a care in the world.

I'll check out Dancing Donkeys and
see if I can lend support. People can be such jerks. Macho Men picking on defenseless little donkeys. Come on grow up and get a life.

Haha! Eagle. I've Seen Then DoThat, Put Their Legs Straight And Line Up The Hooves. Too Funny.

That Certainly Makes My Heart Ache, Hearing About Such Asshat Stunts With Poor Donkeys . I'll Go Take A Look At Your Link Too.

In High School,I Was Addicted To"Mystery" On OPB. "The Life Of Riley" Was One Of My Favs. He Was A Spy.
